Where the two differ
A Vocaroo link plays. A Speeeak link plays and has a button underneath: “Reply with a voice message”. The reply lands with you – without the other side needing an account.
Speeeak has a fixed term: 7 days without an account, up to 1 year with Business – plus a delete link that works instantly. Vocaroo deletes based on view counts, and the delete button only works in the same browser.
Vocaroo embeds finished recordings as a player. We found no recording widget there that lets visitors of your website speak to you. Speeeak includes one in the free account.

Fair is fair: Vocaroo has existed since 2007, is radically simple, takes recordings of hours and keeps frequently played files permanently. For a quick audio file that should stay reachable for a long time, that is hard to beat.

Do I need an account with Speeeak?
No. Without an account: up to 2 minutes, available 7 days, delete link included. With a free account: overview of all messages, 30 per month, one widget.
Why does my message expire at Speeeak?
Because a voice message is a message, not an archive. Fixed terms mean you know when it is gone. If you need longer, take Plus (90 days) or Business (1 year).
Vocaroo records for hours – Speeeak only minutes?
Yes. Free 2 minutes, Business 15. The maximum depends on device, browser and connection. For long recordings Vocaroo is the better tool.
Can I move Vocaroo recordings to Speeeak?
Download the file at Vocaroo and upload it at Speeeak – free up to 3 MB per file, Plus 10 MB, Pro and Business 15 MB.
