For Mighty Networks

Members speak
instead of typing.

Mighty Networks doesn’t allow custom scripts – but it has an embed function for external content. We’ll tell you honestly what works: try the Speeeak widget as an embed, and if that doesn’t fly in your network, link your Speeeak landing page. No app, no account for your members either way.

What’s possible in a Mighty Network

Embeds yes, scripts no

Mighty embeds external content through an embed field – in articles, posts, events, courses and on pages. There’s no place for your own script lines or HTML in the page head. So the Speeeak widget has to come in as an embed or a link.

Widget address as an embed

Every Speeeak widget has its own address. You can paste it into the embed field. Whether Mighty shows it as a frame depends on its embed check – free networks are subject to an allow-list. So: test it.

Landing page as the safe route

If the embed doesn’t work, link your Speeeak landing page (from Plus) or a short link. Members tap it, speak on the Speeeak page, done. That works in every network, on every plan.

How to go about it

  1. Create a widget and copy the address. In your Speeeak account under “Widgets”, create a widget – heading, fields, consent text, colour. You don’t need the script line here but the widget address https://speeeak.io/w/YOUR-KEY.
  2. Try the embed, otherwise set a link. In an article, post or course lesson click +, choose Embed, paste the widget address. If the microphone appears, you’re done. If you only get a link card or nothing, take the second route: create a Speeeak landing page (logo, colour, text, reply by voice) and put its address as a link in posts, in the course description or on a page of your network.
  3. Allow your domain. Only needed for the embed: in Speeeak, add your network’s address under “Allowed websites” – your own domain or the Mighty address. The landing page needs no entry.

Tip: For many services Mighty advises pasting the plain link rather than the HTML embed code. Stick to that: widget address in, no <script>, no <iframe>.

Use this template

Texts, fields, colour and display style are prepared – adjust name and colour, copy one line of code into your website, done.

Take the template into my account Step-by-step setup

Free account: 1 widget with Speeeak link. Pro: 5 widgets, Speeeak link can be switched off.

What you do with it

  • Collect questions for live events: before the event, a post with the microphone or link – “Speak your question, we’ll take it live.”
  • Feedback on course lessons: one minute of voice under the lesson instead of a star-rating form. From Plus, the transcript comes along.
  • Introductions: new members speak about who they are. You reply by voice via the listen link.
  • Privacy: consent text, privacy link, delete link for the sender, servers in the EU, data processing agreement in one click – in the widget and on the landing page alike.

Frequently asked questions

Why not just the script line?

Because Mighty Networks has no place for it. There’s no field for custom code in the head or footer of the page. Hence embed or link.

What’s the difference between widget and landing page?

The widget sits inside your page. The landing page is a separate page on Speeeak with your logo, your colour and up to four buttons. For networks without code access it’s the reliable route.

Does it work in the Mighty app?

Links, yes. Whether an embed shows as a frame in the app is up to Mighty – try it in your network. The landing page opens in the phone’s browser.

What does it cost?

Free: one widget, 30 messages per month, Speeeak link. Plus (€4.90/month): one landing page, short links, 100 messages, transcription. Pro (€19/month): five widgets, five landing pages with lead form.
