For Circle communities

Your community speaks –
you listen.

Communities write a lot and say little. A microphone changes that: members speak questions, feedback or introductions, you listen and reply by voice. The Speeeak widget goes into your community’s code snippets as a single script line.

Why a voice widget in your community

More than text in the feed

A 40-second voice says more than three paragraphs. Members are more likely to ask a question or give feedback when they don’t have to put it into writing.

Private, not public

Not everything belongs in the feed. The widget sends the message to you only – into your Speeeak Inbox. You decide whether and where any of it shows up.

Set up once, everywhere

Through your community’s code snippets the floating pill appears on every page – in spaces, courses and events. No plugin, no app.

How to add it

  1. Create a widget and copy the key. In your Speeeak account under “Widgets”, create a widget – heading (“Your question for the group”), fields, consent text, colour – and copy the script line with your key.
  2. Paste the line into Circle. For every page: in the admin view open Website → Code snippets in the left sidebar, paste the line with data-art="knopf" into the Head code snippets field and save. The code is placed before </head> of your community; script blocks are expected there. For a single page in the website builder: drag the Custom HTML element (under “Add elements”) onto the page and paste the line with data-art="text".
  3. Allow your domain. In Speeeak, add your community’s address under “Allowed websites” – your own domain or the Circle address, whichever members use. Then reload the community and record a test message yourself.

Tip: Circle calls code snippets a self-serve feature – Circle support won’t help with your own code. If something’s off: deactivate the snippet briefly, then check the browser console. Almost always the only thing missing is the entry under “Allowed websites”.

Use this template

Texts, fields, colour and display style are prepared – adjust name and colour, copy one line of code into your website, done.

Take the template into my account Step-by-step setup

Free account: 1 widget with Speeeak link. Pro: 5 widgets, Speeeak link can be switched off.

What you do with it

  • Collect questions for live calls: “Speak your question for the Friday call” – you listen beforehand and sort.
  • Feedback on course modules: a microphone after each lesson instead of a star-rating form. From Plus, the transcript comes along.
  • Introductions: new members speak 30 seconds about who they are. You reply by voice – more personal than any welcome e-mail.
  • Privacy: consent text and your community’s privacy link in the widget, delete link for the sender, servers in the EU, data processing agreement in one click.

Frequently asked questions

Do members have to install anything?

No. The widget runs in the community’s browser view. On the phone and on the desktop: allow the mic, speak, send.

Can other members see the messages?

No. They go to your Speeeak Inbox only. If you want to share a voice, you embed the listen link or voice card in a post yourself.

Does it work in the Circle app too?

The widget is built for the browser. How head snippets behave in the native apps is up to Circle – check it in your community. As a fallback, add the link to your Speeeak landing page to the sidebar.

What does it cost?

The free account includes one widget for one website with Speeeak link and 30 messages per month. Pro (€19/month) has five widgets, 300 messages, transcription and no Speeeak link.

Circle is a trademark of its respective owner. Speeeak is not affiliated with this provider.
