Sometimes you need the message as text: to skim, quote, forward or file. With Speeeak the text comes with the recording – from Plus, without an extra tool, without uploading the file anywhere else.
What you need the text for
Twenty messages in the inbox, ten minutes of time. With a transcript you see in seconds what each one is about – and listen only to the ones worth it.
A customer voice becomes a written quote, an enquiry a note in the project, an idea a paragraph in the document. Text can be copied, audio can’t.
Whoever can’t listen right now – on the train, in a meeting, with hearing difficulties – reads along. The voice stays, the text is added.
Step by step
- Record or upload. In your account press the mic and speak – or upload an existing audio file, up to 10 MB with Plus, 15 MB with Pro and Business. Messages that arrive via your widget or as replies count too.
- Request the transcript. From Plus every message can come with its text. Your allowance: 30 transcript minutes per month with Plus, 100 with Pro, 300 with Business.
- Use the text. Read, copy, paste into e-mail, document or project tool. The recording stays next to it as proof – and as a listen link in case someone wants to hear the voice after all.
Tip: Speak in full sentences and say names and numbers clearly. What you understand on first listening, the transcript understands too.
You need no second tool and no file to upload somewhere else: recording, listen link, reply and text sit together in one account. For testimonials, feedback from the widget and your own voice notes it is the same routine.
Privacy: what happens to recording and text
- Servers in the EU: recording and text sit on servers in the EU, reachable only via your account and the listen link.
- No third-party app: you don’t have to upload the file to a separate transcription tool. Everything stays in one account.
- Delete link: delete the message and it’s gone – text included.
- Fixed terms: Plus and Pro 90 days, Business 1 year. After that the message is deleted automatically.
- No ads, no tracking: neither on the listen page nor in the inbox.
Frequently asked questions
Is the transcript available for free?
No. Recording and sending is free without an account; the text comes from Plus (€4.90/month) with 30 transcript minutes per month. Pro has 100, Business 300.
Can I upload an existing voice message and convert it?
Yes. Upload the audio file in your account – Plus up to 10 MB per file, Pro and Business 15 MB. The transcript is added just like for your own recording.
Are messages from the widget converted too?
Yes. Everything that lands in your inbox – your own recordings, replies, widget messages – can come with text, as long as your monthly allowance lasts.
How accurate is the text?
Good enough to skim and quote when the recording is clear. With background noise, dialect or several speakers, proofread and listen in when in doubt – the recording stays right next to it.
