Send a voice message
as a link.
A voice message doesn’t have to be stuck in a messenger. Record it in the browser, copy the link and send it wherever you like. The other side taps it and hears you – no app, no account, no phone number.
When a link is the right form
The other side has no WhatsApp, you have no number, or you’re talking through a contact form. A link fits wherever text fits.
Audio files are big, get filtered or land in spam. A link is a few characters – and plays in the browser, on any device.
You get a delete link. One click and the recording is gone – no matter who already has the link. And it expires on its own after a fixed term.
Step by step
- Record. On speeeak.io press the mic, talk, stop. You can listen and re-record as often as you like. Or upload an existing audio file. Nothing goes to the server until you press “Create link”.
- Copy the link. You get a listen link and a delete link. If you like, add a name that appears on the listen page – nothing more. With Plus it becomes a short link.
- Send it. Paste the link into the e-mail, SMS, chat, profile or contact form. The other side listens in the browser and can reply by voice through the same link – even without an account.
Tip: Say briefly at the start who you are and what it’s about. The listen page only shows your name if you give one – the first sentence replaces the subject line.
What happens to your recording
- Servers in the EU: the file sits on servers in the EU and is reachable only via the link.
- Fixed term: without an account it is deleted automatically after 7 days. With Plus 90 days, with Business 1 year.
- Delete link: you can delete it any time before that. The file is removed, not just hidden.
- Quiet listen page: no ads, no tracking. Whoever opens the link hears you – nothing else.
- No number, no address: the other side sees neither your phone number nor your e-mail address.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need an account?
No. Record, create link, send – no sign-up. With a free account you also get an overview of all messages and replies, 30 per month.
How long can the message be?
Without an account and free up to 2 minutes, Plus 5, Pro 10, Business 15. The maximum depends on device, browser and connection. For most messages one minute is enough.
How does the other side reply?
Under your message there is a button “Reply with a voice message”. They press it, speak, send – no account. You get the reply via your link, with an account in your inbox.
Can I send the link in a messenger too?
Yes, a link is text. The difference from the built-in voice message: the file isn’t in the other person’s chat but at Speeeak – with delete link and expiry date.
